Christy Whitehead Photography, based in Jacksonville, Florida, is a fun and creative photographer. Whether you are looking for in studio or on location, I can make it happen.

I specialize in wedding photography, newborn photography, boudoir photography and family photography. But my extensive photography portfolio also  includes:  trash the dress photography, engagements, pregnancy portraits, seniors, bands, modeling, corporate images, and of course pets.

I like to have fun at photos sessions–letting kids be kids, and waiting for the right moment to come along and get the perfect smile. You know the one, where noone is saying cheese, it just comes naturally, because it’s honest.

I like colors that pop as well as crisp blacks and clean whites. I shoot completely digital and provides images not only in color but in processes that feel right for the individual photo, like black and white, vintage tones, sepia and more. All at no extra cost to the customer.

I don’t count images at a session, it’s less about the number of photos and more about the quality of photos taken.  I don’t feel it does the client or me as a photographer any good. I want you, the client to be happy and be surprised when you see the shots. I always strive to go just a little bit farther, and I truly believe in the notion “do unto others as you’d want done unto you.”

Owner & photographer Christy Whitehead is an experienced photojournalist who works for newspapers and magazines all over the country. She brings her eye for detail, fun style and awesome laid back personality to every wedding and portrait session. Christy is located in Northeast, Fla. but is available for traveling.

Photography/portrait sessions take place either in studio or at the location of your choosing, whether that’s a park, the beach or a park in Jacksonville, Fort Clinch, Amelia Island, Fernandina, Hilliard, Callahan, St. Augustine, Oakleaf, Baldwin, Whitehouse, Orange Park or elsewhere on the First Coast.

Newborn portraits are typically done in the comfort of the client’s home (and occasionally in studio). Christy brings her studio lights and props to you to make the most of your session.

Our studio sessions are done at one of several studio locations around Jacksonville, please email us for more information if you would like to book a studio session. Currently we have a minimum purchase of $500 for in studio sessions. On location our base package starts at $199. Because of our extensive amount of props, please let portrait photographer Christy Whitehead know ahead of time if you would like to use a particular prop such as a sock monkey hat or vintage pram so that we can make sure to bring that to your shoot.
